Aguirre Fried Chicken: The Whole Fried Chicken That's Proudly Made in BF Homes

When Instagram shows you an ad of a whole fried chicken, you buy it! I know what you did there, IG!

Aguirre Fried Chicken (AFC) is an online business located in Aguirre Avenue, the famous food street of the BF Homes subdivision in Parañaque City. AFC has been making a buzz in social media (well, at least in my IG feed ‘coz I’ve been searching and searching for food!) and was list by Spot.ph as one of the best underrated fried chicken spots in Metro.

Aguirre Fried Chicken

AFC offers its fried chicken in whole and half, and in spicy (a.k.a. The Aguirre Hot Box) and non-spicy (a.k.a. The Aguirre Special). It comes with fluffy dinner rolls, fried bananas, garlic spread, house blend banana ketchup (yup, it’s a common condiment in the Philippines), and white pickles. Of course, I went for the Aguirre Hot Box.

The fried chicken is tender, juicy, and moist. It’s covered in a special hot sauce, which is stay-in-the-mouth spicy. But I like that the spice level is enjoyable and will not turn you red. Let’s not forget the skin, which is crisp, and the sides and condiments, which nicely complements the chicken.

I also tried their Chicken Nibblers, which are fried chicken necks, backs, and behinds. You can have it either spicy or non-spicy. Dunk it in the bleu cheese dip and these nibblers are addicting. (Pro-tip: Dip the Aguirre Hot Box in bleu cheese. You’ll thank me for it!)

AFC also offers a couple slides that don’t come with the meal. They are Cucumber Coleslaw, which is refreshing, and Mashed Potato Gravy, which is in between a mashed potato and gravy. The latter sounds simple but trust me it’s good!

Aguirre Fried Chicken offers a good break from the usual Pinoy-style (like Max’s) and breaded fried chicken (like Jollibee’s Chickenjoy). I enjoyed my meal and highly recommend that you give it a try.
