What’s New in Station X (Boracay)?

I did a Boracay Food Trip 2023 last month. Check out the installments: The Ultimate Boracay Food Guide | Blackfish Coffee Bar | Cafe Maruja | Cha Cha’s Beach Cafe (Breakfast Buffet) | Chan’s Boracay | Cyma Greek Taverna | La Sirena by Cochi Loco | Los Indios Bravos | Percy Seafood | Sapphire at Henann Crystal Sands Resort (Seafood Buffet) | The Sunny Side Cafe

Station X is a lifestyle hub that’s home to F&B concepts, specialty stores, and a turf area, which is a perfect spot to chill. It’s located within Hue Hotels and Resorts Boracay, making it convenient for the guests of the hotel (check my review of Hue Boracay here). The hotel has a special place in my heart because it’s where we stayed for our honeymoon.

But even if you are not a guest of Hue Boracay, you can still enter Station X for free.

Inside Station X

A lot has changed in Station X since our first visit in 2021. So I’m writing about what’s new (or technically, what wasn’t there in our last visit), what’s still there, and what’s gone as of February 2023.

What’s New?

@Tokyo

Outside, there’s now @Tokyo, which is a retail store that carries Japanese brands like anello, Casio, and Seiko. It has replaced Ministop, the convenience store chain.

Boracay Selly

Boracay Selly is an accessories shop. If I’m not mistaken, it wasn’t there back in 2021 and it replaced another merchant.

Guppy One Stop Strollers

If you’re coming with a toddler and would like to rent a stroller, then head to Guppy One Stop Stroller.

Havaianas

Near @Tokyo is a Havaianas kiosk that could meet your flip-flop needs.

The Food Hall (inc. Chan’s Boracay)

When we first visited Station X, the food hall was closed probably due to the pandemic and lockdowns. It’s a shame because I heard that there were good food concepts there.

But on our recent visit, it has reopened with new merchants. There are stalls that offer seafood dishes, takoyaki, and hawker-inspired food. The last one is called Chan’s Boracay.

Chan’s Boracay

Chan’s Boracay serves Singaporean classics such as fish ball soup, kaya (coconut-egg jam) toast, kopi (Singaporean traditional coffee) and teh tarik (pulled milk tea). Check out my review here.

What’s Still There?

Nonie’s

Nonie’s, a restaurant that promotes healthy eating, is still there. This food spot uses fresh ingredients locally and ethically sourced from the island and the Panay mainland. So at Nonie’s, you get to eat healthily, sustainably, and responsibly!

Inside Nonie’s

Nonie’s offers fusion-style, Filipino-inspired menu. We tried their Chicken and Pork Adobo and Tempeh Kare Kare. Both are good.

What’s Gone?

Coco Mama

Coco Mama serves gluten-free, lactose-free, low-glycemic, and vegan coconut ice cream, then topped with different ingredients and served in a coconut shell. Unfortunately, they’ve closed down their Station X branch.

For Coco Mama branches and operating times, check out their Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Little Wave

This article is supposed to feature what’s gone as of February 2023. But when I researched about Little Wave’s so I could update, I found out that it recently closed.

Left to Right: The Death Cream and The Little Wave

By the way, Little Wave is a cafe that partnered with EDSA Beverage Design Group to serve you the best coffee. Currently, their drinks are available at The Sunny Side Cafe (check my review here).

For more information about Little Wave, check out their Facebook and Instagram accounts.

The Sunny Side Cafe/Pizza and Supermagic

The Sunny Side Cafe is a restaurant that serves all-day breakfast, bread, and specialty coffee (check my review here). It is one of the popular food spots in the island. Unfortunately again, they closed down their Station X branch (where they exclusively offers pizza) so just head over their beachside branches at Stations 1 and 3.

And sharing the same space with the cafe is Supermagic, which serves one of the best burgers in the island. It closed down as well and is yet to reopen in another location.

For more information about The Sunny Side Cafe, check out their Facebook and Instagram accounts, as well as their website.

And for Supermagic burgers, check out their Facebook and Instagram accounts, and their website.

I’m sure that there are a few more establishments that I have missed. So just visit Station X’s social media pages for a more updated list.
